Scott Belonger

Scott has over 21 years of experience, including 18 years with Otak/Loris. He has an excellent understanding of the complexities of challenging trail projects. Scott’s passion for
trail design takes the visitor’s experience to the next level of convenience and enjoyment. He has been involved in the planning, design, and management of over $100 million in trail, bridge, underpass, pedestrian, and traffic calming projects. He strives to find a uniquely appropriate solution for each of his projects, and he focuses on simple solutions that minimize site impacts and promote sustainability, while
providing an end product that promotes use.
Scott has designed soft-surface/backcountry trails using field design and CAD documentation to produce DOT style plans and specifications. He has also constructed numerous natural
surface trails as a volunteer with the Wildland Restoration Volunteers, the Continental Divide Trails Alliance, and City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks.
