About Trail Design Specialists

Founded in 1998 following our time as the inaugural IMBA/Subaru Trail Care Crew, we've expanded from designing and building high quality trails for all manner of uses, to educating others. We currently offer several courses covering different aspects of trail related subjects including assessment and mechanized training. Our flagship class is the Trail Master certification. This course teaches and tests participants on the finer points of trail design, construction, maintenance and crew leadership. The course starts with design and each day builds on the previous over 4 full days. This, as in most of our classes combines classroom time with field work.
