About Rock Solid Trail Contracting

Rock Solid’s origins tie back to the beautiful, remote town of Copper Harbor, Michigan, located in the northernmost tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Aaron Rogers, President and Owner, has been building and riding trails there for nearly 2 decades. Aaron’s dogged determination and hard work (the locals call it "sisu") —alongside the Copper Harbor Trails Club— has transformed the trail network into the notable mountain biking destination it is today.

What started as a vision to improve his local trails turned Copper Harbor into an IMBA Silver Ride Center with over 80 trails and infrastructure including two bike-friendly campgrounds, a sustainable off-grid farm that helps produce food for the community and a brewery. Not to mention a bike park in Aaron's backyard that is complete with shuttles in the form of decommissioned military vehicles. Rock Solid continues to be actively involved in building and maintaining this ever-growing system that attracts tens of thousands of riders each year and built over 10 miles of new trail in the summer of 2023.

Though originally focused mostly in mid-western states, Rock Solid has recently expanded from coast to coast, constructing trails in California, Utah, Texas, West Virginia and North Carolina.
