Products & Services
Network Planning
Trail networks are best experienced when broader connectivity occurs through thoughtful planning. The trails we design and build strive to work with a stacked-loop design ethos to create the best experience in a network possible. Even when not contracted to do this work, we put substantial thought into this part of our design-build contracts. Some of the best experiences we have created are on Mt Mahoney in Powell River for the QRCA and our ongoing work on Blackcomb.
Trail Design
Great trails have a broad base of feels and motion to engage the user regardless of their user group, this is the cornerstone of our dirt-shaping ethos. Having a comprehensive understanding of the available terrain and considering the local landscape is the focal point of our design process. From this point, we design our trails regardless of the level to work with the shapes of the natural space to showcase the landscape. We have designed renowned trails for AlpX and the Whistler Bike Park.
Trail Building
We love to build intermediate, small-footprint, low-impact machine trails but can service any trail needs. We have all the specialized trail-building equipment in our fleet that’s needed to deliver unique designs safely and efficiently. Some of our more complex projects have been done for private land developers and the Resort Municipality of Whistler.
Remote Infrastructure Construction
Our expertise in this world builds on our extensive backcountry trail-building experience and our crew's commercial construction background. Often the hardest part of this work is getting to the construction site, we regularly work with helicopters, have a fleet of wheeled transportation, and enjoy hiking. Some projects we have done in this space include work for Blackcomb Helicopters and Tayax Adventures.
Backcountry Building Maintenance
Taking care of structures in remote and challenging locations allows us to utilize our creativity to produce solutions with limited resources. Creating backcountry construction logistics plans and providing project management is something we have extensive experience in. With our construction background, we understand how an assortment of buildings and structures work. Recently, we are working with the Spearhead Huts Society to ensure key projects are executed.
