About Dirt Tek Trails
Dirt Tek Trails was founded in 2019 by Brandon Arce and later joined by Candice Kozark in 2021, combining their skills to build a company grounded in quality, precision, and trails that truly ride right. Together, and with the help of their team, they’ve grown Dirt Tek into a nationally recognized leader in trail design and construction.
Brandon brings over 15 years of hands-on experience building trails across the country and beyond, from large-scale gravity bike parks to rugged backcountry systems. Known for his deep understanding of terrain dynamics, hydrology management principles, and mechanized construction techniques, Brandon has mastered both precision machine operation and long-standing trail design. His ability to envision how a trail will ride long before the first cut is made, and to shape features that flow naturally with the landscape, has earned him a reputation as a true craftsman in the field.
Candice brought her strong background in small business development and operations, helping Dirt Tek scale its capabilities, strengthen partnerships, and streamline project delivery. Working side by side with Brandon, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Dirt Tek’s approach to client collaboration and long-term planning.
Today, Dirt Tek Trails designs and builds purpose-built mountain bike trails for communities, ski areas, bike parks, and both public and private lands. We guide clients through every phase of development, from concept and layout to construction and ongoing maintenance strategies. With Brandon’s field expertise, Candice’s strategic leadership, and a skilled, tight-knit crew, we deliver trails built to last — earning trust with every corner, feature, and finish.

Design
Quality trail first needs quality design. Our trail design considers all user groups, available terrain, and how those elements can work together in the most memorable and synergistic way. Design can be as simple as laying flag lines for one trail or constructing a master plan for an entire trail network. Our design always involves going onsite to ground-truth the landscape and identify key natural features and elements that ensure the best possible use of the land and overall development of the terrain.
Construction
Using all of the latest trail technology, machinery, and techniques, we have a network of machine operators ready to build quality trails for all riders. We offer project management and construction for bike parks and singletrack trails, done by highly experienced licensed, and insured operators.
Consulting
By assessing client needs, landscape, and existing infrastructure, we can help you decide what users can best benefit from your trail design and what barriers there may be to meet your goals. By working first to get a solid understanding of your trail project's scope, goals, and overall needs, we can take your project from idea to completion. From community engagement before trail building to maintenance plans after trail construction, our team is additionally experienced in community trail development, programming, and event production.
Training
We offer customized trail builder training sessions on such concepts as how to properly build and maintain various trail systems, excavation techniques, erosion control, berm building, or trail alignment. The trail builder training is tailored to your goals and outcomes. It can include trail alignment, drainage, benchwork, how to use an inclinometer, and key grade considerations. Proper training will save you time and money. It will ensure a better trail experience for users who will keep coming back.
