About Trailworks Biketrails & Wanderwege GmbH

Already in 1998 Rafael "Tschäff" Rhyner laid the foundation for Trailworks and thus we are one of the most experienced companies in planning, design, and construction of sustainable biketrails and hiking paths, bike parks, competition tracks and trail-centers.

What began in Flims-Laax, Davos and Lenzerheide now stretches from Lötschental to Zurich, from Brandnertal in Vorarlberg to Rwanda in Africa. More and more projects now take us to Remote, alpine regions, where we rebuild and renovate hiking trails in particularly challenging terrain, using a great deal of manual labor.

With all our experience and expertise, we develop master plans tailored to the target group, take care of permits, and finally implement the project in a way that is compatible with nature and conserves resources.

Our world is becoming increasingly diverse, interests are broader and the potential for value creation is higher. At the same time, however, the pressure on tourism destinations, on Infrastructure and on nature is growing. With Trailworks, we have specialized in precisely these challenges.

Today, we employ around 25 people during the season. We have a well-trained, committed, and diverse team - from environmental engineers to carpenters, from landscape gardeners to locksmiths. In addition, we maintain our own machine park, which is specially adapted to the needs of trail and hiking path construction.
