About Backslope Trail Building

With deep roots in mountain biking, Backslope Trail Building was formed with the sole intent of constructing the highest quality trail possible. Throughout the planning, design, and construction phase of every project we strive to be the best stewards of the land we build on, while also catering to the customers' vision. From bike park jump trails to meandering singletrack, Backslope always tries to position a trail within the landscape rather than impose the trail upon it. With every build, user experience and sustainability are prioritized.

Backslope has worked with multiple bike clubs, municipalities, and private individuals to create trails in six states along the East Coast. In 2024 Backslope worked with the state of New York and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to design and build the World Cup XCO race course in Lake Placid, NY. No matter what the scale of the project, the commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainable use of the land is the same.
